As a student of architecture, graduating from the School of Architecture (former Department of Architecture), Tianjin University in 1982 , and getting master degree in 1989, doctor degree in 1996. Starting working as a teaching assistant from 1982, and becoming professor 2002. In the working career, mainly studying and teaching history of foreign architecture, design of architecture, and measure and drawing of ancient Chinese architecture. Published several academic papers and writings about architectural history and theory research, and gardening history and theory research. The teaching courses had good effects and been welcomed by the students.
